I’ve just watched an 127 Hours and it triggered this question in my head. Oh, this question is open for opinions and scientific answers.

Now, I shall prove myself wrong.
Urine. It’s going to aid hydration much more than semen. The only real benefit to consuming semen is it’s high in protein, and very low in calories. Neither of these are hugely important in a survival situation.
Also. If semen was the only liquid available to him, he’d need to a hell of a lot of pumping in order to hydrate himself.

A guy full of determination to do whatever to survive. At least he’s constantly thinking of all sort of ideas instead of just giving up the moment he sees that big rock trapped his arm like that. Think of it , if it was you , would you actually think “damn I’m trapped , what am I gonna do , water , food , gotto spread them out. Etc.. ” instead of just focusing on the pain of your arm and start crying, probably. Imagine the mental torture one’s going through when it’s night time. It’s like the dark hole in the prison cell. Anyone would freak out cause of desperation. But he tried all his best to keep calm.
But yeah , one thing bad about him is that he’s a little selfish / self centered about going out to places doing dangerous hikings without notifying anyone at all.
