Susan asks…

Please tell me what’s the best humidifier to get for the bedroom.?

So many humidifiers to pick from. Getting the best, even if it means spending more money, is what I want. Pls help!

answers:

Honestly, I recommend buying the cheapest one you can find (I did just that and my works fine) but then spending the extra money on more replacement filters. The filters get gross really easy and for the reason of allergies, it’s best to replace them often.

Oh and I recommend the cool air ones over the heated ones.

Donald asks…

Best place to put a humidifier in a 2 story house?

I recently purchased a humidifier that says it can humidify enough sq. ft. to cover my whole house. I know that heat rises, so my downstairs central heater unit does more work than my upstairs unit. What I don’t know, though, is the best place to put the humidifier. Will the moisture from the humidifier rise with the warm air or will it sink, given the greater weight of the moisture cause it to sink?

It is an open floor plan, so the air circulates really well between the floors.

answers:

Moist air from most humidifiers is cool and cool air sinks so I would put it on the second floor.
