Best Humidifier Best Humidifier For Baby?

Lisa asks…
Which is best for baby: humidifier, vaporizer, or air purifier?
Differences? Reasons? I just want to ensure that my baby is breathing in the cleanest air possible, but with enough humidity in the room. Which will best suit my baby‘s needs? Excuse me, I’m currently nesting and going crazy to ensure that everything will super, super, super clean. Even the air, lol.
answers:
Hmm. I like all of them and use all of them.
Humidifier = helps make the room more humid.
Vaporizer = I always thought this dispersed vapors in the air, like the Vicks vaporizer that puts out eucalyptus and menthol into the air to help them when they have a cold. Ours is built into the humidifier, but it does work well when there’s a cold.
Air Purifier = While I like air purifiers, I find that just dusting the room does more for the air quality. Also cleaning the bed, washing the pillowcases/sheets/blankets regularly. As someone who has a lot of allergies, this works better than most of them on the market. However if you’re wanting a good one, get one that uses water to filter the air, I’ve had the best responses to those, but that might be because the air comes out not only clean but not so dry it irritates the skin and sinuses.

Charles asks…
Best Humidifier for a Baby?
We just purchased from Target the American Red Cross Humidifier for our baby but it doesn’t seem like it makes any difference. Anyone have any experience with these? What is the best one to buy?
answers:
We bought the cool mist humidifier with night light by sunbeam for our daughter and it was great, her breathing really improved, but then again we bought it because she was getting over RSV. Whether or not your baby was sick, it’s a good thing to have especially now that it’s getting colder and the air is getting dryer. But make sure it’s a cool mist, because to many accidents happen where children burn themselves with the hot humidifiers.

Susan asks…
Which is best for baby? Warm or cool mist humidifier?
The teenager at Babies R Us had no idea. Do you know?
answers:
I always used cool mist humidifiers for my little girls. Warm, moist air is a breeding ground for germs and bacteria. Cool air is better, and it doesn’t make the room feel like you are in the jungle.
