Best Humidifier Humidifier Vs Vaporizer?

Warm/Cold Humidifier vs. Vaporizers?

My 23 month old has really bad congestion on his chest and in his nose. Which would be better to clear up his congestion any mucus the Cold, Warm Humidifier or a Vaporizer.

I tried the warm Mist Humidifier made by Vicks and started leaking after one night so i never got to tell if it’s really useful.

Thanks in advance!! :)

answers:

Ultrasonic humidifier which produces cool mist or a regular cool mist humidifier will do an adequate job in humidifying the air of the child’s room when he has a cold This type of humidifier will counteracts dryness and will soothes the child’s inflamed nose and throat. But with either type of cool-mist humidifier, it is important to clean the water reservoir at least once a week with a cup of chlorine bleach in a gallon of water. This will prevent the growth of molds and bacteria in the reservoir, which then would be blown into the room.

Steam humidifier and warm mist humidifier is a type of vaporizer. Because it boils water, releasing steam and moisture into the air. A medicated inhalant can also be added to the steam vapor to help reduce coughs. The heat source in poorly-designed humidifiers can overheat, causing the product to melt, leak, and start fires.

Steam isn’t any better than cool mist for adding moisture to the air. With steam, there is a danger of scalding if a child put hs hand or face in it or knocks the vaporizer over. If you buy one of these steam vaporizers, get a large size that holds a quart or more and turns itself off after the water has boiled away.

My three year old son has a bad cold last month, and we used an ultrasonic humidifier which help him to make feel better. There are only a few differences between warm and cool mist humidifiers and the type that is better for your child may depends on which what is recommended by your doctor. Hope that your child will get well soon.

Humidifiers Vs vaporisers for baby..whats the difference and which one is better for baby coughs and colds?

My 6 week old has a cold and i have been told that a humidifier or vaporiser will help with the breathing and congestion.

Im not sure if they are one and the same thing or what the differnce is?

Would you recommend one and if so which one?

Thanks

answers:

Never use a vaporizer – it puts tiny particulates into the air than can carry bacteria and even viruses.
Vaporizers work by creating a mist, either with mechanical or sonic agitation, a humidifier evaporates water with or without heat.

Sandra asks…

Vaporizer vs Humidifier?

So I had a tonsillectomy 6 days ago and I’ve been using a vaporizer, I was told to use a humidifier. Is the vaporizer effective?

answers:

They both add moisture into the air. The vaporizer adds warmed air, the humidifier, cool air.

Keeping your throat moist is the idea here. Both will work for that.
