how do i remove humidity from my loft area in my bedroom?
I have a cathedral ceiling in my bedroom, two sky lights, and a storage loft area that’s all the way up in the heighest corner of my ceiling. the loft area is open so you can see it from the bedroom floor. That area is the most humid area in my house. I store things up there, wood, and other valuables. It gets very humid in the summer months. I live in Philadelphia, PA. Is there some sort of de-humidifier of sorts i could use to control the humidity levels up there? i also have no attic so my ceiling is right up against the plywood and hot shingles. please help. what is the best type of dehumidifier to use?

Just toss a dehumidifier up there. It’ll work wonders. There’s also a good bet that it’ll work on your entire house as well as your loft. As far as brands or models go I’m not fairly certain on which to buy, but in general the cheaper ones will have less of an effect.

I get HORRIBLE nose bleeds.?
This summer I had my first nose bleed of my life. I didn’t do anything to instigate it, it just randomly started pouring out of my nose while sitting at the computer. When I say it was horrible… I mean HORRIBLE. Like 2-3 drops of blood per second. I had no clue how to treat a nose bleed at the time so I just let it bleed out while I tried my best to keep from bleeding on everything. After about 20 minutes of non stop bleeding I got pretty scared and almost called my doctor.
But anyways it eventually stopped and I had not had a nosebleed until just this past week. So now I am on a drug called accutane for my acne and one of the side effects listed is nosebleeds. After 3 weeks on the drug I had my first nosebleed, it was small but still about 1 drip every few seconds. Then yesterday I had another HORRIBLE one. Then just now I am experiencing another really bad one. I know the procedure for stopping them relatively quickly but I still get blood everywhere. But now I am very concerned about what I should do to prevent these from happening. It is from the same nostril every time so there might be something wrong. I can’t stop taking accutane so I will just have to find another way to stop them. Does sleeping with a humidifier help? I don’t pick my nose when they happen, they just come out of the blue.

I used to get horrible nose bleeds when I was a kid. I found taking a multi vitamin high in iron helped as my blood was too thin and iron helps thicken it up. If you have been blowing your nose a lot with tissues your nose can become dry and the skin begins to crack open or become chapped allowing the blood to escape this occurs near the opening. If it is something like that, my nurse advised me to take a Q-tip and rub vaseline on the nostril area to help clear that up. Your medication is probably thinning your blood though and that is why it says nosebleeds as one of the symptoms. If it occurs that often, I would consult your doctor to see if there is anything additional you can do to prevent that from occurring. Good luck!

Ahhhhhh I’m so confused?
My dad just yelled at my sister for accidentaly breaking a humidifier for the wine room. He sent her to her room. Do you think that is too strict of a punishment?
I went up there to check on her and she was crying and saying “dad doesnt even love me”. and “how could he love me if he would yell at me for an accident”. He didnt know it was an accident.
I told her that he has a lot on his mind and he does love us and gives us the best life possible. I am now in tears because I feel that she hates my dad. I know he is a good, loving father and makes mistakes like everybody.

Just explain to her it was a misunderstanding and tell you dad that she didn’t mean to break the humidifier – why would your sister even want to break a humidifier?
